Where to Find Fun 4th of July Festivities for Families
Independence Day activities are endless in Worcester County if you look for them. Here’s just a few town and cities that put on a great show (fireworks of course) and offer different 4th of July festivities for families.
Annual Worcester Independence Day Celebration
You can’t have this list without mentioning the annual Independence Celebration in Worcester at East Park. Fireworks display this year will take place on Friday, July 1st at 9:30pm. The Park opens at 3:00pm with food vendors and Kids Korner activities. The Massachusetts Symphony Orchestra will give their annual concert starting at 8:00pm. Annual Millbury Lions Club Carnival
The annual Lions Club Carnival takes place Friday July 1- Monday, July 4th at Windle Field in Millbury. The weekend long festivities include rides, games, food and fun for the whole family. Rutland 4th of July Celebration
The town of Rutland holds its Annual 4th of July celebrations all weekend long. Activities include road races, volleyball tournaments, chicken BBQ, a strawberry festival, lip sync contest, and more and culminates on Monday with the 68th annual Rutland 4th of July Parade at 1:00pm. Fitchburg Civic Days
The town of Fitchburg holds it annual Civic Days with several different activities scheduled. On Saturday, July 2nd, the town will host a Block Party downtown from 5pm – 10pm with the fireworks display taking place right after at 10pm. Best viewing of the fireworks is from downtown at Riverfront Park and the Upper Common. The town festivities culminate with the 4th of July parade on Monday from 10am – 12pm.
